Adolfo's Cory (Corydoras adolfoi) - Catfish for Sale UK

Adolfo’s Cory Catfish is one of those rare aquarium fish that looks delicate but behaves like a dependable little workhorse in a community tank. Known scientifically as Corydoras adolfoi, this peaceful South American bottom dweller comes from the Rio Negro in Brazil, where soft, slightly acidic water and leaf litter create the perfect environment for shoaling corydoras. At just 5.5 cm, it stays compact, active, and endlessly interesting to watch as it sifts the substrate for food and explores every corner of the aquascape. Many aquarists choose this species because it combines the charm of Corydoras with a striking orange headband and black shoulder blotch, making it a standout among cory catfish types such as corydoras panda, corydoras paleatus, bronze corydoras, and corydoras julii. It is an easy-care fish for beginners, yet it still rewards experienced keepers who want a natural-looking planted aquarium with a lively bottom-feeding group. See our detailed photos showing the clean contrast, fine spotting, and elegant body shape that make this species so popular. If you are looking for a peaceful catfish UK hobbyists can keep in a shoal, this is a superb choice for a stable, well-planned tank.
